I’ve been reading Colour – Travel Through The Paintbox by Victoria Finlay. I’m normally only into a book if there is a great storyline, so I’ve surprised myself by enjoying this travel/history book. Each chapter focusses on a particular colour and the origin of it, which inevitably brings in elements of travel and culture too.
I also noticed this week that one of the blogs I like looking at was taking part in an Autumn Colour week. That’s a good idea I thought, so I’m going to do the same myself here for a week. Each day I will post a photo or two looking for that days designated colour in the ordinary objects around me. But I’m also going to throw in a titbit or two of interesting things that I’ve learnt from reading the above book.
I’ll start tomorrow with yellow.
