This past week has been my first week of the Get Your Paint On! course with Mati and Lisa.
It has already delivered just what I was hoping for; a push to paint more, a push to think differently and a push try something new; I even got painting from the floor – and at my age!

We were simply encouraged to respond in paint to the idea of painting a grid like composition and to look to quilting for inspiration. This piece above caught my imagination and inspired two pieces.

Once I’d begun to line things up in grids, I couldn’t stop – I painted four pictures in one week! In fact I have even more ideas sketched out but I need to keep on with week two’s new focus, so those ideas will have to wait. I’ll show you some more of what I’ve done tomorrow.
