Spend Sunday 19th October with me at the gorgeous Winterbourne House & Gardens where we will explore some fun and interesting ways to use and manipulate materials while responding to a still life set up. We’ll playfully let the materials do the work – think bright underpainting, using collage, wax resist and working with unusual tools to apply paint. Your chance to enjoy the individual properties of certain materials and find some joy in creating.
I’ll provide the still life set and a wide range of materials in basic colours and you’ll need to bring A3 cartridge or mixed media paper – in addition you’re welcome to supplement my materials and colours with anything you wish to use from home.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities. I will demonstrate the techniques and options open to you and guide you individually as you wish. Beginners will be well supported, and experienced artists can enjoy new ways of working and experimenting with new challenges as they wish. The foundation of my classes are first and foremost to enjoy being creative.
10am – 4pm.
