Robin is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas. I don’t usually favour acrylic paint but occasionally it lends itself nicely to layering up textures, which this piece called for. During my Artist in Residency at University of Birmingham, Winterbourne House & Gardens I was accompanied one day by this Robin as I sat drawing the Japonica blossoms.
