Appliqued Bird 3

This piece of textile art is hand painted and printed using heat-reactive dyes and resist printing. It is layered up with hand and machine stitching to represent the grasses and plants found during my Residency at Winterbourne House & Gardens. A hand-painted and embroidered bird is appliqued onto these layers which have been finished with a fabric foiling treatment.

Could be stitched into a useable textile piece but not suitable for high use or laundering – seam allowance approx 1.5 cm

Clean using a lint roller or gentle hand wash
